The Drawing I Liked

I liked how the artist of this drawing boldly shaded the edges on several objects.  This made the objects stand out.  The plant is emphasized, as well as the soldier, and the nail-like object on the bottom.

Durer Inspired Work

This is a drawing of the building from Albretch Durer's Melancolia.  It is still a work in progress.

Abstract

Abstract

This image consists of three shapes, a building, a human hand, and a tree.  The hand seems to stand out, and the wavy background seems to "flow".  With the tree, I used very compact parallel lines to shade the trunk.

Example 3: bamboo
